The Franco-Swiss duo MVM was born of an encounter between Sébastien, a trained pyrotechnician and special-effects mechanic, and Clara, who studied architecture in Lausanne, at the École polytechnique fédérale.
For ten years, Sébastien worked on television sets as a special-effects technician and supervisor, while Clara put her skills to good use in artistic make-up for fashion and cinema. Throughout his rich career, Sébastien acquired a range of theoretical and practical skills in mechanics, electropneumatics, mechatronics and animatronics.
Forged from the pair’s respective experiences, complementarity and artistic sensitivity, MVM is a creative studio offering kinetic installations that are one of a kind: bespoke inventions firmly rooted in synchronisation between mechanical animation, sound and light.
Marie Méon graduated from the École Camondo art and design school as an interior designer. She soon joined Christian Dior, then Chanel, where she designed retail spaces, and devised and applied new rules to architectural design with an unfailing concern for detail, appeal and high standards. Ten years later, she decided to make use of her passion for gastronomy, studying again to obtain a vocational certificate. In 2016, she founded the agency Manger Manger, a workshop for taste, where ingredients and produce are used as tools for creation. From contents to containers, from temporary creations to lasting ones, Manger Manger tells tailor-made stories about produce, dishes and projects.
After her beginnings in interior design in Paris for Ateliers Jean Nouvel, then in London in an agency, Marion de Beauvoir turned to events management, joining Christian Dior where she was in charge of window displays, set design and all presentation tools, notably in jewellery and high jewellery. Today, from her creative studio, Mamasan, she shares her passion for materials by meeting with outstanding artisans and blending their unique know-how with her own creativity and artistic sensitivity to magnify places, products and architecture.
